Rhododendron lindleyi

If you have ever visited Glenarn in May you will remember the huge patch of R lindleyi on Granny's Hens. A second mass planting of lindleyi from cuttings greets you when you arrive in the garden- the scent hits you first!

This huge amalgamation includes different forms we grow here- the large creamy white trumpets of straight lindleyi mixed with those of lindleyi 'Geordie Sherriff' with strong pink stripes fading eventually to white. The effect is better than I ever thought it would be!
