Catching up on rain

Although there have been dry days most of October so far feels very wet. The ground that was pretty dry for the top 50 mm through September is now beautifully soaked and we can plant while there is still some warmth.

But more pressing jobs demand attention and the huge pile of dung needs spreading on the vegetable patch- we found this frog living happily under our cover! And the Gunnera has been put to bed for the winter.

Clematis tangutica is still performing on the Rock garden gate.
