We are getting to the end of the open season at Glenarn and some of the trees are beginning to turn, particularly acers although the magnolias are going yellow but not yet all over. When the sun is out the bees are busy in the ivy flowers on the round tower wall, with hover flies and others.
The view of the rock garden shows an acer with Arisama formosana, the white spikes of Clethra alnifolia and late aconites. On Granny's Hens Kniphofia rooperi is looking stunning.
