Iona in September

masthome3

We have just returned from 5 days on Iona, looking like a tropical island in the recent sunshine. It was a great break from the seemingly endless work in the late summer garden, clearing, mowing, strimming and weeding.

Most of our time was spent walking or swimming but the St Columba Hotel garden was looking beautiful- and with Iona Abbey as a backdrop makes a good photo. They are part of the Glorious Gardens of Argyll and Bute and produce is used daily in the hotel kitchen.
