Magnolia wilsonii

These smaller magnolias are currently flowering and beautifully scented- I think they smell like lily of the valley but everyone’s sense of smell is slightly different! We also have Magnolia sieboldii at the back of the long bed in the rock garden; with this the flowers hang sideways so you can see the details more easily.
We also have Magnolia sieboldii in flower in the rock garden. These flowers sit side ways on the small tree so you can see them more easily. Here’s a photo to compare with wilsonii.
