More unusual plants

Bright spots of colour draw attention to certain plants as we work around the garden. The holly-like Desfontania spinosa - though I think it now has a new name- has most unholly like red and yellow flowers and surprises lots of people. In the shade, on steep banks is Phylesia magellanica with its tubular dark pink flowers- hard to photograph as there are never a huge group together. Lomatia ferruginia is still flowering in the rock garden and the small flowered Eucryphia milliganii is providing the bees with some much needed nectar.
