Primula florindae red form

From the kitchen window I look north into what was once a muddy bank, now a buttressed stone wall with lots of gravel. Here Primula florindae has chosen to proliferate, loving the damp and the gravel mulch. By the end of July the whole area is a mass of tall flowers. Other primulas are trying to get in too but florindae is much the strongest.
